In this position he will advise the Board of Trustees and Chief Executive of the Charity on its research strategies and policies, and to make recommendations as to which research grants the charity should support.
An entire decade of exciting research at the LBI-CR has passed since the institute was founded in September 2005. We generated significant research output as measured by publications, attraction of third party money, and seeing former members successfully embarking on international careers. Financed by the European Commission, the European AIDS Vaccine Initiative (EAVI2020) is a focused effort to develop protective and therapeutic HIV vaccines bringing together leading HIV researchers from public organisations and biotech companies from across Europe, Australia, Canada and the USA, including the LBI-CR.
