LBI-CR staff and guests at the annual meeting 2018 in Seggau (Stmk)

Each key researcher is heading an individual research team, whose scientific activities are described in the research section. The institute comprises approximately 30 members of staff and therefore represents one of the larger institutes within the LBG family. A considerable and continuously increasing proportion of the annual institute budget is raised from third party grants. In 2015 more than 40 % of the institute staff was payed through external sources.

The graph shows the development of the annual budget (blue) of the institute since its foundation in 2005. The cash contribution by the partners (green) is a valuable part of the income, which provides the institute with the necessary budgetary flexibility. The third party contribution (red) to the budget is continuously increasing, exceeding 25% in 2015 and is set to rise further with the implementation of the ERC grant of Florian Grebien.
